EGB Group Becomes the First iGaming Company Recognized in the IIA May Brazil Campaign

Esportes Gaming Brasil (EGB), the group behind the brands Esportes da Sorte, Onabet and Lottu, has become the first iGaming company to receive recognition in the 2026 IIA May Brazil campaign, organized by the Institute of Internal Auditors Brazil (IIA Brazil).

The company was awarded the “IIA May Brazil 2026 Winning Company” seal, along with a trophy and an official certificate during a ceremony held on July 23.

The recognition celebrates initiatives carried out throughout May, the International Internal Audit Awareness Month, aimed at promoting the strategic role of Internal Audit in corporate governance, risk management, internal controls and decision-making.

With this achievement, EGB becomes the first iGaming company to join the select group of organizations recognized by IIA Brazil. This year’s list included nearly 100 leading companies such as Petrobras, Banco Bradesco, Grupo Mateus, Vale and organizations from the Caixa ecosystem.

Carol Luna, Head of Compliance at Esportes Gaming Brasil, said:

“Becoming the first iGaming company recognized by the IIA May Brazil campaign is a significant milestone for both our group and the entire industry. Regulation has ushered in a new era of professionalism where growth, innovation and efficiency must go hand in hand with strong governance, integrity and proactive risk management.”

Promoting Internal Audit Awareness

To qualify for the IIA May Brazil campaign, participating companies were required to publish original Internal Audit content through their official communication channels and organize educational initiatives such as webinars, presentations or training sessions, all supported by evidence submitted for evaluation.

Throughout May, Esportes Gaming Brasil implemented a comprehensive awareness campaign featuring educational videos, myth-busting content about Internal Audit and materials introducing the company’s newly created Internal Audit department.

The company also hosted the Audit EGB Webinar, bringing together employees across the organization to discuss the strategic role of Internal Audit within the iGaming industry.

In addition, EGB delivered in-person training sessions for professionals representing the second and third lines of defense, involving teams from Internal Audit, Quality, Compliance and Monitoring.

Carol Luna added:

“Our goal was to bring Internal Audit closer to people and demonstrate that its role extends far beyond identifying non-compliance. Internal Audit is a strategic business partner that transforms information into valuable insights, drives continuous improvement and strengthens organizational processes and controls.”

The award ceremony took place following the Chief Audit Executives (CAE) 2026 Meeting, which gathered Internal Audit leaders from across Brazil to discuss the profession’s key trends and future challenges.
