What It Takes to Build a Winning Brand in Brazil: New Headliners Join SBC Summit Rio

As Brazil enters its second year as a regulated market, the gambling industry is entering a new phase. Operators are shifting their focus from short-term player acquisition towards building brands that earn long-term public trust and establish meaningful cultural relevance.

Against this backdrop, SBC Summit Rio will host a series of sessions dedicated to exploring how businesses can build sustainable and competitive brands through strong leadership, responsible influencer partnerships, and advertising strategies aligned with regulatory standards.

The event will feature speakers from both inside and outside the betting sector, including executives with experience at global organisations such as Nike and Meta, alongside representatives from CONAR and Brazil’s rapidly expanding creator economy.

A key highlight will be the keynote from Chris Kypriotis (Transformation CEO | Former Global VP and CEO of Nike Brazil), who will open the Leadership Stage on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 (11:00–11:20). During his tenure, Nike Brazil surpassed US$1 billion in revenue for the first time and led strategic planning during landmark global events hosted in the country, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

His keynote, Inside the Culture of High Performance, will present a strategic framework for moving beyond product-led marketing and towards building brands that resonate authentically with Brazilian culture. Kypriotis will also lead an exclusive workshop, Built for Scaling: A Performance Culture Workshop (12:00–12:40), offering a hands-on exploration of how high-performance cultures are created and sustained in fast-moving, high-scrutiny environments.

Creator-led engagement will also take centre stage. The keynote The Ultimate Collab: Unlocking Value Through Operator–Influencer Collaborations, scheduled for Wednesday, 4 March (4:40–5:20 PM), will feature Aruan Felix, one of Brazil’s most influential gaming and streaming personalities.

With a combined following of over seven million across YouTube and Instagram, Felix will share practical insights into selecting the right partners and designing collaborations that build trust, achieve cultural relevance, and meet regulatory expectations.

Meanwhile, the session Breaking Down Brazil’s Marketing Rulebook (Thursday, 5 March, 11:00–11:40) will bring together experts from Meta, CONAR and Brazilian marketing agency Propane. The panel will provide delegates with a clear breakdown of current advertising standards, outlining what is and isn’t permissible for betting brands. Speakers include Sandro Cachiello (Head of RMG, Meta), Juliana Albuquerque (Vice President, CONAR), and Leonardo Benites (COO, Propane).

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, commented:
“Brazil’s market is evolving incredibly quickly, and so is the way brands need to show up. Operators have a real opportunity to build something meaningful here, but it takes strategy, cultural understanding, and a responsible approach. That’s exactly what we’re focusing on at SBC Summit Rio.”

Bringing together 15,000 attendees over three days of networking, education, and business development, the event will feature more than 150 speakers across dedicated tracks including Leadership, Tech Innovation, and Marketing. Specialist summits such as the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit will offer focused insights into Brazil’s affiliate and payments ecosystems.

With over 400 exhibiting and sponsoring brands on the exhibition floor, and leading licensed operators alongside prospective market entrants under one roof, SBC Summit Rio has firmly positioned itself as the essential meeting point for those looking to succeed in Brazil’s fast-evolving regulated market.
