Gaming & Technology Expo is making a decisive move towards the future of esports in Colombia with the launch of GAT Esports, a groundbreaking event set to take place on September 5-6 in two prestigious locations in Bogotá.
On September 5, the Esmeralda Hall at the Bogotá Marriott Hotel will host the GAT Esports Academy, while the Santa Fe Hall at the Sheraton Bogotá Hotel will be the venue on September 6 for a unique exhibition experience for gamers, business leaders, and special guests. Both venues, located close to each other, will serve as the epicenter of an event that promises to be a milestone in the development and future of esports in Colombia.
GAT Esports is designed as a B2B/B2C platform that invites public and private institutions, associations, companies, and all those interested in exploring the dynamic esports sector, a market that today boasts millions of global followers. Two Memorable Days
GAT Esports Academy
On September 5, the Bogotá Marriott Hotel will host an innovative academic agenda starting at 9:00 a.m. This space is designed to update knowledge and open a constructive dialogue on the current state of esports in Colombia. Central topics will include the integration of esports into university programs, pedagogy and neuroscience applied to gaming, marketing opportunities for youth-oriented brands, esports monetization, and betting on esports and virtual games.
The event will feature prominent speakers and panelists, including Ernesto Lucena Barrero, former Minister of Sports of Colombia; Mauricio Parodi, Representative of the House of Congress of the Republic; Angel Beccassino, publicist and political scientist; Jorge Mario Karam Rozo, Vice-Rector of Research at the University Corporation of Catalonia, among other industry experts.
The academic day will include an interactive gamification strategy based on the virtual betting game with artificial intelligence, Frente de Batalla, developed by Mobadoo and set to be launched on the BetPlay platform. Additionally, a closing panel with renowned sports journalists will discuss the future of sports journalism in esports, considering its inclusion in the Olympic Games and the challenges this entails.
GAT Esports Exhibition
On September 6, as part of the GAT Showcase Bogotá at the Sheraton Bogotá Hotel, the GAT Esports Exhibition will take place. This event, from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m., will feature an exhibition of products and services from the esports industry, and will open space for other economic sectors and related institutions, promoting the creation of strategic partnerships.
